Hi guys!
Have you already tried transport a scenario from Directory from D-.Q or Q->P with set up SLD transport Paths?
Is it really working that way, the source and target system are replaced by those set up in SLD as transport targets?
And what about the adapters? How are they influenced by this transport?
How is this working?

In my view there should be no impact on adapters.

Yes, the Business sytems get replaced with those that are set up in transport targets.

When ever you transport ID, all the fileds like URL, Directory, userId, password in communication channels will get errased. You need to fill in those fields, save and then activate.
