During install.of productive ECC 6.0 I am saked for Host with Transp. Dir.(proposed is of course the local host itself). Should I change it (as the transport directory will be on development machine?).

I ve heard that it should remain local host itself (othervise no SP possible to import) and TMS configured later

As per transport configuration concern after installation of system you can configure

You should have common transport directory for your SAP systems in order to easily transport changes from DEV/QAS to PRD.

I guess there is a few words about it in installation guide for Windows platform.

Yes, it should be the hostname of your DEV machine...

After installtion when you will goto AL11 and check DIR_TRANs it will point to
<ip of DEV>\trans....there you will have EPS directory...so there wont be any problem in installtion of SPs...If you are using a Central Transport Directory your input should always be the hostname of your Central Transport Directory
