Can you pls. tell me what does a Vanilla System exactly refer to in SAP context?

This is as good a desciption as i could find, tried to link to another thread but it didn't work. Perhaps someone can expand on this.
Vanilla SAP is the SAP implementation that is done without including any enhancements or any Z processes. It s totally standard SAP impelmentation. For this the customer has to carry out a major organisational change and the processes also have to be changed in accordance with the standard SAP processes.
Normally in an SAP implementation somewhat non standard practices are implemented to suit the customer's requirements. But in VANILLA SAP IMPLEMENTATION , the customer has to change the processes as per the standard SAP functionalitites.
