Personalization Frame work

hw can i use the personalisation framework to pass the userid & report max size(myscenario) thas is get the reportmax size from a different layer without actually storing this in db tables....

Thanks for this reply but it doesnt help me as i have already have the relevant link for the same but my question is hw to get the data from the java layer store it without using a db table.

We have to use the FM's to do this but iam not very sure of this !!!!!!!! Iam talking in the implementation terms
