Problem in substitute

Hi all,

I am facing one problem in my workflow. Please help me.

If user substitute another user (user on the higher hierarchy) document is sending to substituted user twice for approval. ( 1 for user substitue him, another is at his level). That case user dont want twice. He needs once only.

If the user is defferent (substitute and next approve person) client wants to send two persons (one by one - normal procedure).

This case what i have to do. Give some sol

This is more of a question at business process level.

Short answer, don't susbstitute your manager if he/she doesn't want to approve things twice.

Another solution could be to check in your workflow if the person who previously executed the workitem is the same as the next step for approval, you can assume that it was the manager and therefor automatically approver the workitem and go to the next level.

But before you do this ask the business how many times this situation occurs, only if it s on a regular basis you should change the workflow.
