increase & decrease in stock in profit&loss a/c represents as follows.

Cost of sales+ increase/decrease in FG+purcase offsetting a/c = increase & decrease in stock

increase & decrease in stock in B/S represents as follows

Opening stock - closing stock = increase & decrease in stock

Hence the issue is value of incr/decr in stock in P/L &B/S is not tallying.

please advice

Hi

You check the P&L account Increase Decrease accounts grouping and compare to B/S stock accounts grouping. Whether the same logic is reflecting or there.

Hi Shivaji,

Ex. In P&L, Increase/Decrease in stock value consist of some group of gl accounts value which we will do through FSV and in the same way check balance sheet grouping also.
