Sales area ABCD CB AB is not defined for customers

Hi Guru,

When I was trying to create customer T-CODE: XD01

Getting following error:

Sales area ABCD CB AB is not defined for customers

I am working on ECC6.

could you please help me out?

Hi

Please Check Img>SD>master data-->Common dist. channel / division

Your Sales org with dist. channel/division will refered by some other dist. channel/division.

Kindly replace with urs.

example:

common dist. channel

ABCD AB AB

Common division

ABCD CD CD

Do like this and u will not get the error.

here we are assisning common reference dist. channel/ division for a dist. channel/ division

Goto <b>OVH3</b> and check whether you have assigned the said Sales Area. Most probably, you would not have assigned.

This error occurs due to 2 problems

1.At first u have not maintained the sales area for ur combination

path:img-enaterprise structure-assigmentsales and distributionset up sales area....go therir and set up the sales area

2. The second is that u have not maintained the reference sales areas for the ur defined sales areas

tcode: OVAO assign reference sales org to the defined sales org

tcode: OVAM assign referene distribution channel to the defined distribution channel

tcode : OVAN; assign referencd division to the defined division

check these configuration steps and then u will not get the error

Hi Santosh,

why do you think ovao or ovam or ovan has to any thing in creation of material master as they are not common for master data entry but only common for sales document.

so as per my undertsnading it has nothing to do with XD01.

at master data level you can only combine Dist channel and Division and not possible to combine Sales Org in standard.

I contrary please revert.

Hi,

Check whether that particular sales area has been created in the transaction OVXG.

Then after setting the sales area it should be assigned to the sales office in OVXM.

Also it should be assigned to credit control area, which is assigned to that customer also.

Aftr checking all these settings try creating customer using XD01, specifiying the correct sales area.

Check if the assignment have been done in the following T.Codes

[OVAM]

[OVAN]

[VOR1]

[VOR2]

its simple you have to do common distribution channel and common divisions

Tcode VOR1 and VOR2
