hi pm gurus

1. what do you mean by Installed Base in PM.

2. what do you mean by work centre scheduling & how do we calculate the capacity of work centre ?

Hi Pushpa,

Installed Base in PM is actually linking the serial numbers of whole assembly. Like you can further drill down in future, as to know which ROH component (or HALB) is assembled with which FERT ( or any other assembly).

IB51 to create Installed base

IB61 create with reference to Sales order

COIB with reference to the Prod. order

And about work center capacity, you can give the total no. of pieced that can be produced on the work center, using Line hierarchy LDB1.

u mean to say if an eqpt BOM has some assemblies and some materials then we use installed base to link all the serialized materials and assemblies ? plz explain clearly .
