Problem in assigning roles to users

Hi,

i am working in EP 5.0 with ITS server .I have created two roles .

But while assigning roles to users i am facing problem . I am not able to save it .

It is displaying message as the role could not be saved for the respective user .

Can anybody help me out regarding solving this issue .

Hi Sujana,

Thanks a lot for the reply . Actually i have to create two roles .

1 . com.emp.role

2 . com.mgr.role

Then i have to assign them to my login id (portal id) and to the login id of other users .

When i am assigning it to my login id it's getting saved and works fine ,its working fine .

But when i am assigning it to other users , it is showing error that role could not be saved for the respective user .

Hi Jain,

can you check,wether that user is locked or if there is any objects(what ever rolese you have created) are locked for that particular user.

Hi Jain,

First check do you have access to the other user and roles which you are dealing with..if yes then do this..

In User administrator tab in portal

select user from search and click the user , as u do so you will find a window below this search window.

click to modify and select assigned roles tab .

you will find two windows - 1 of assigned roles and 1 for available roles.

select role from the available roles window and click add.

Try this out ... I think it will work...
