Inspection lot

When i create the inspection lot i is created mode hence i cant give verdict

Kindly guide how to convert this to release mode.

In QP02 i assgine the status as 5 and 4 release .

what r all prerequst for this

This is very simliar to a problem i'am having please see description of lot status below.

lot 102702 seems to becausing the problem. the folks in operations are asking if i can reverse 102703 status. can anyone help , this is urgent.

Hi,

Pl check whether the inspection plan has been assigned to the inspection lot in Change Inspection Lot transaction. If not, then you can manually assign the plan & Then manually calculate the sample size & save the inspection lot. This will release the lot.

Hope this works. If the problem persists, then pl. give the status of the inspection lot, then we may be able to help out.

Syetem says no inspection plan is assigned

How to assign manually the inspection plan in QA02

Hi,

In the change Inspection Lot transaction (QA02 or QA32), select the inspection lot & select tab 'Inspection Specifications'. Here at Assigned Specification, you will find a tab to assign the inspection lot manually. Then system will assigne the inspection lot. Then at Sample Size tab, you can calculate the sample size based on the inspection lot assigned. Save the lot. Now you will be able to make usage decision.

Hi,

What is the status of your inspection lot?

e.g. CRTD - Created, SPRQ - Stock posting required, QLCH - Quality Level Relevant.

Pl. send the status of your inspection lot then I may be able to help.

My inspection lot status is a above

actually i created ythe inspection plan, inspection method, master inspection characeterstics and assigned to matl.

but still problem is not solved

Hi,

Then your inspection lot needs a chacteristics to be assigned. (CHCR - Characteristics must be created).

If there are no characteristics assigned to the inspection lot, the pl. follow the earlier mentioned steps. The area will be grey but if you press the button at Inspection Specification tab (in area 'Assigned Specifications'0 then system will automatically assigne the inspection plant you defined for the material. (You will not be able to put the inspection plant numebr manually). Then press button at Sample tab & save. System will assign the inspection plan to the lot, calculate the sample & then change the status of the lot from CRTD to REL (Released).

Hi,

Pl. check your material master QM Data. Pl maintain tick at Inspection with task List & then only the system will be able to assign the inspection plan to the inspection lot.

Hi

Also check the key date in inspection plan. If the key date in inspection plan is later than that of inspection lot creation dtae, then the inspection plan will not be assigned to the inspection lot. Hence change the key date prior to the inspection lot date.

Hi Gururanjan,

Status IRCH means Q-Info Record has been changed.

Please check the Q-Info Record & then follow the same procedure i.e. assign Inspection Plan to Lot & then Result Recording & then UD.

Please check the same & come back.
