Dear friends,
can anybody explain the the following query?
what are system configurations required to get consolidated data of planned independent requirements from different plants to carry out MRP at centralised location (may be sitting at one plant)? Assume that, person who is carrying out MRP is having all plants access. i heard that, it is possible through APO.
suppose in a company,we had a different manufacturing plants at different locations.simillarly, we have different sales divisions at different locations.sales people are having a requirements from south, north, east, west. how to pass on the consolidated data of sales requirements to the system to the different plants.so that production planner can do ideal planning to cater sales requirements.
regards,
murthy.
Hi Murthy,
This is even possible in R/3.
This is done through SOP.
sales operation planning, operational planning can be done at different levels like sales org, sales office, plant or material. this plan if defined at plant level can be directly transferred to DM as PIR's
If the plan is not defined at plant level using the plant distribution still this operational plan can be transferred to DM as PIR's for different plants.
