my question... is that... in the query designer... we see right click context menu in the rows for ex: custid..( you see option new formula) and in the column ex: price (you see option new formula)
is that differnce from calculated key figure... if yes...
what is the difference between formula and keyfigure...
and what is the differnce between formula which we create in keyfigures and characterstics... on what scenarios we create formula in charactersitcs
please expalin me thru scenario

New Selection and New Formula are local and correspond to Restricted key figure and Calculated Key Figure respectively. These formulas and selection are not available to other queries. If you create a RKF or CKF at the Multiprovider/InfoProvider level , they are available for all the queries against that Multiprovider/InfoProvider.
As for usage, if you want to be able to resue any formula you would create a global CKF otherwise a local formula will suffice.
