Customizing Detailed Navigation IView

Hi,

I am new to portal development. I need to customize the Detail Navigation IView to show the contents of Detail navigation tree in horizontal format i.e left to right instead of Top to bottom as it does now.

I downloaded the <b>com.sap.portal.navigation.detailedtree.par.bak</b> file and imported in NWDS and it seems there is no JSP in the component and the only thing which can be changed is detailedNavTree.js. I am not sure how to go about it.

Also is it possible to have a floating Detail Navigation iview.

I will try to look into navigation tag lib, but there is no other way other than to write custom component.

Hello Manoj,

Actually the implementation of the detailed navigation is in a class file, not a JSP.

Since you would like to just change the orientation of the detailed navigation, I suggest you create a new detailed navigation iView using the Navigation Tag Library. Check for the same on SDN/hep.sap.com. WIth a little effort initially to learn it, its faster to achieve your goal.
