Hi Balaram

Any action that you schedule with the DBA Planning Calendar can in exceptional cases contain errors. You should therefore perform daily checks of at least the critical actions, such as database backups.

Prerequisite

Procedure

...
1. In the user menu, choose Database: Operation Local DBA Planning Calendar (transaction DB13).
2. Analyze the following logs:
- Action log
- Background job log
- DBA Action Logs

Proceed as described in Result of an Action.

Frequent Errors when Using Backup Devices

· There is no backup medium in the backup device.
· The backup medium is write-protected.
· The backup medium in the device has not been initialized.
· The backup device contains the wrong backup medium.
· The backup medium is full.
· An error occurred in the disk drive.

Warnings and Alerts

To analyze errors, use the database alert monitor and the display in the DBA action logs. Critical situations are indicated using corresponding warnings and alerts.
