item cat type

Hey folks,

I want to know whether i can get specific entries for item cat type based on sales org, distribution channel and division. basically i wanna know the table which holds or where i can view the item cat type based on these conditions.

Hey,

You can't get all the combinations if you use VBAK and VBAP,, these two tables holds the data for the orders that were placed.

You have to refer the config tables where the data would be stored.

The basic link is Salesorg/Dis Chan/Division will be assigned to a sales document type

the table to get this data is TVAKZ.

and to get the item categories will be defined for each sales document type,you can get it from table T184 as Priyanka mentioned.

So to join the two tables TVAKZ and T184 you can use AUART Field as key.

Typically this is a weird requirement... But its up to you. May be you are trying to do something different. Good luck . Any way I hope you got your solution.

Hello Rock,

Item category has no direct connection to sales area instead it is assigned to the order type.

As order type is assigned to sales area the relevant information is hence drawn.

Item category assignment can be checked in table T184.

Hi

You can view the item cat type in VBAK,VBAP tables.Using Transaction SE16

You can also see the assignment of item categories to Sales Document in T184 table

Hi

Their is no direct link of Item cat type with sales area.

Sales document is assigned to Sales area.

Item cat type to Sales document

Hi Rock,

Basically there is no assingment for Item Category type to Sales Area.

But the Sales Document type is assigned to Sales Area and Item Category is

assigned to Sales Document type, from this you can pull the relevant Information

as you required.

Please try with VBAK and VBAP tables.
