Material Group

Hello Friends

I am new to SAP MM. When I am creating a material under material type Raw Material in Material masterdata. I am not able to see the material group field in Basicdata1. Is it related to Customization? If so, can you please tell me what to do? or else also tell me what to do.

Hai,

In IMG - Logistics general - Material master - Field selection - Maintain field selection for data screens - For the field selection group 2 - field element -MARA MATKL - field reference - Matl type - make it as a req entry. Check in MM01 after doing this.

Dear Satya,

Go to T-code OMSR and make second selection group as optional entry instead of hide

save

go to MM01 it check material group it will appear

Hi Satya,

In the tcode OMS9, enter the field sel.group as "2".

the field name is MARA-MATKL for that u can make for a particular material type as hide , display , reqd or optional entry in the material master.
