Developer Workplace SR2 sapinst problem

Win2003 server + MS SQL, trying to perform a NW04s Developer Workplace SR2 install.

Running sapinst, immediately after choosing the Developer Workplace - SQL option, I get error:

103 syslib.filesystem.errorSettingTimeStamp C:/Program Files/sapinst_instdir/NW04S/SYSTEM/DEVWP/MSSQL/toplevel.xml, 816

No logs are even created yet in the sapinst directory. Only 5 XML files, which is where this stopped. I have full admin rights on the host. I've not seen that "timestamp" error before. Anyone?

Hi David,

some strange problems are often related to the java version installed on the server you're installing. Make sure you have java version 1.4.2 and not 1.5 (it doesn't work with 1.5 yet) - maybe that's the problem.
