Dispatcher Error

Hi,

I've installed SAPNW7.0ABAPTrialSP12. I get an error during the installation, and uninstall this by the uninstall instructions (start.htm - last slide). When I try to install it again, the installation time was too quickly and searching in SDN forums I found the solution that was to delete Installshield folder from my Commom Files folder. After this, I've installed again and the instalation time was up to 1 hour (normal time). Then I tried to up my server several times, so I've opened my services file and look that some entries is missing (I think that my error is caused by this).

My machine:

Windows XP SP2

MacBook Black - 2GHZ Core 2 Duo - 1GB RAM - 30GB free space

Loopback Adapter is installed and configured to DHCP and fixed IP with 10.10.0.10 value (by SAP instructions)

Hostname: brmb2000

Host file have an entry: 10.10.0.10 brmb2000

My services file:

Hello,

Two things you could try:

Add

sapgw00	3300/tcp

to your services file.

Or do you run a firewall on your pc? If yes, just give it a try to switch the firewall of and start the application server.

Regards,

Klaus

Hi Manoel,

Please make sure that your database is up and running. If you use the start-menu entry to start the application server, the database instance is started in advance. To check whether the db instance is running, open a command prompt and try this:

dbmcli -d NSP -u control,<PW_U_ENTERED_DURING_INSTALLATION> db_state

if it shows <b>Offline</b>, try to start it manually via

dbmcli -d NSP -u control,<PW_U_ENTERED_DURING_INSTALLATION> db_online

If it starts successfully, try to start your appliction server. If

dbmcli

doesn't work, go to the folder <INSTALL_DRIVE>\sapdb\programs\pgm and try it from there.

Regards,

Klaus

<b>create_con (con_name=R/3)

B *** ERROR => Invalid profile parameter dbms/type (or environment variable dbms_type) = <undef>, cannot load DB library

[dbcon.c 4532]</b>

Check the recommendation from kalus. Also check the enironment variables and the profiles value in default profile. You can also try to update the kernel and see whether that fixes the issue.

Thanks

How can I set this enviroment profile variable?

What the value that I need put for dbms_type?

Thanks.

Hi Manoel,

I just check whether this profile variable is set at my installation and found out, that there is no need to add it to the profile. Still guessing there is something wrong with the database.

Is the database up and running?

Klaus

Hi Manoel,

Weird thing, please check whether you can manually log into the database doing a SQL statement:

sqlcli -d nsp -u sapnsp,<PASSWORD> "select * from sflight"

<PASSWORD> is the one you entered during installation. Does it show a large table as output?

Rgds,

Klaus

Hi,

The profiles are ok. The problem is, that the thread db_connect doesn't find the sapdb library:

B *** ERROR => Invalid profile parameter dbms/type (or environment variable dbms_type) = <undef>, cannot load DB library

The database library is located at <b><INSTALL_DIR>\NSP\SYS\exe\run\dbsdbslib.dll</b>. Check whether it's there. If yes, try the following:

Open a command promt in <INSTALL_DIR>\NSP\SYS\exe\run and enter <b>setsapenv.cmd</b>. Check the values of some variables by executing:

<b>set sap</b> and <b>set db</b>. DBMS_TYPE should be ada.

Run the command

startsap.exe name=NSP nr=00 SAPDIAHOST=localhost

.

Check again the <b>dev_w0</b> The first few lines should contain something like:

B Loading DB library 'C:SAPNSPSYSexerundbsdbslib.dll' ...
B Library 'C:SAPNSPSYSexerundbsdbslib.dll' loaded

Klaus

Klaus,

Thanks. The problem is it. The enviroment variables aren't set.

I use the setsapenv.cmd but when I restart my computer, the variables are not set again.

Manually I put the content of setsapenv.cmd in system enviroment variables (right click on my computer, properties, advanced, enviroment variables, system variables) and now MiniSAP is running (slowly cause my RAM memory) but fine.

Thanks a lot.
