Whether the client copy also copies the ABAP developments? or only the customizing?

The ABAP developments are part of the SAP Repository, which is client-independant. That is, if you develop your programs on your Development environment (DEV instance) you are going to see the same programs in all the clients of the DEV instance (when you make a local client copy with SCCL usually you copy customizing, user master records, variants, etc).
When you want to copy your programs within different instances: from your DEV instance to your QA or PRD (Quality or Production) instances, you need to transport them.
If you want, you can see what you are copying when you make a local client copy (within clients in the same instance, SCCL) or remote client copy (within different client and instances, SCC9) selecting (in transactions SCCL or SCC9) the profile you want to use for the copy and in the Menu: Profile-Display.
