Popup in a standard transaction - Urgent

Hi ,

I am calling a popup in the transaction IW32 while in the components tab through the BADI Workorder_update. But when the Pop up appears the screen in the background goes to display mode and once i select an option from the Pop up the program goes out of the transaction and goes to the IW32 initial screen But the requirement is that the user will change values in the component screen based on the information displayed in the popup.

I used field symbols and accessed the source variable and that solved the problem
