hello friends,

i am tryin to make a new RFC connection but i have a problem.

in my sap logon i have 2 connection 1) PRD 2)DR-SERVER

now these 2 connection have their hostname same 'PRDSAPBD'

BUT THEIR IP ADDR IS DIFFERENT

FOR 1) PRD IP ADDR IS 202.144.94.163

AND FOR 2) DR-SERVER IP ADDR IS 131.0.0.15

using the ip addr of DR-SERVER i am getting a time-out during allocate error, and when i use host name 'PRDSAPBD' im only able to connect to PRD and not DR-SERVER.

i want to connect to DR-SERVER,so what do you suggest i do,pls help.

Hi,

use IP address 131.0.0.15 in place of host name,

and use click on IP address radio button and test the connection.

Hi,

Please try this. goto command prompt and give the command

Ping 131.0.0.15.

check whether you get message like reply from 131.0.0.15... and not request time out. if you get the request time out message, then there is some problem with the lan connection.

Please consult with the Network team. make sure te IP is address is enabled for you and make sure they have opened the right port for communication

Niyaz

im able to ping properly,so there seems to be no problem with the lan.

HI..,

When u r going to create a Destination in SM59.. u will have 2 options. either u can enter the host name or the ip address...

Try entering the IP address not the host name ...
