Cost Element master data is a time dependent master data. Check the last date of the transaction and use KA04, enter the cost element and first date of the subsequent fiscal year, after the last transaction, in the from field and till 12/31/9999.

There shall be no transaction data for the cost elements in the planning or commitments data in the affected fiscal years.

Do it in Background, with the 'test run', on first.

Dear,

The best solution in case where there exists the transactional data is:

1. Assign the default/some cost center in the CE master data.

2. Reverse the incorrect document (PS. The CC assigned in the step 1 should be of the same legal entity for which you are reversing the document).

3. Remove the assigned cost center from the CE master data.

4. Post the correct document with the desired CC for the legal entity.

PS. There will be variance in the CO report and the FI report, as, the incorrect document doesnu2019t have the CC but the reversal document has the CC in CO reporting.

Thanks.

Dear Finance,

KA24 collective deletion

KA04 individual deletion

If there is no posting...

onece posting will occure

If there are any postings in controlling, run program RKACOR20 to delete the controlling document, and then run KA24 for collective deletion of cost elements

Hope this helps you

Prem.

You cannot delete it once it has postings. try ending the validity period so that it will not be available for future postings.

You cannot delete a Cost Element to which transactions have already been posted.
