hi
good
every time you do changes in the sap object it would ask for a new request number because if that old object has been transported before than you cant transport it again using the old req number so you have to give new request number for it.
reward point if helpful.
thanks

hI,
Your development or Changes from Development system are transported to the different systems Quality/Production...with the help of Transport Requests ..
Task is nothing but the Objects you changed or created ...like program , data element etc .
Always remember to release Task first and then Request
Thanks.
Reward If Helpful.

if you are a developer.. and request (type modifyable) is enough to create any Z object .. but if you modify any sap object then the request type should be repair.. (so may ask for a new one)
or there are even certain object which need a personal (individual) change request number (in case of extended mainitainence)
so there are various reason for which you can be asked for a new request

Hi
when your creating any new object at that time it wil ask for the request number
after that if you do any changes that will noted under that request number so it won't asks you any more request numbers
once your object is completed and released for the delivery ( trasport request release for object)
after that if the object comes back to you for further changes ( change request )
at that time if you do any changes again at that time it will asks for a new request
and the same procedure
Reward if usefull
