Hi,
Recently we have upgraded BW 3.X into BI 7.0. In 3.x the password is only 8 letters and also it not case sencitive but in BI 7.0 it is case sencitive, <b>Will this be a problem for RFC connections?</b>.

Please refer to SAP note 807895 which will definately resolve your issue. The point is RFC user causes problem based on source system version compatibility with target system version.

Yes it will give problems if:
I had troubles with the RFC to R/3, do not use uppercase for your aleremote user password R/3 releases not distinguishing uppper/lowercase will not acceot this and it costed me about 2 hours to figure out why the RFC wouldn't work.
