Issue related to Alerts ;urgent

Hi Folks,

I am facing a issue in alerts:

<b>I want to capture all types of exceptions via alert messages in alertinbox .</b>

<b>Kindly let me know any prerequisites for this...?</b>, Like do i need to configure any SMTP ...etc

I have created alert category with recipients in ALRTCATDEF . I am not using any rules...Kindly let me know where i am wrong..

what i feel that, i have configured alert successfully as i am receiving the alert messages in alert inbox only on executing RSALERTTEST program...

<b>but when i am running my scenario with intentionally created errors i am not getting Alerts in my alert inbox but i can see errors in MONI.

I am currently working on PI 7.0</b>

Hi Santosh,

no, you dont need SMTP for your intention.

I can only recommed to use troubleshooting guide from michal. If you dont find the mistake, you should open a OSS call.
