NO Part1 Exists

HI

For one of Purchase order created EI using J1IEX_C - Capture Incoming Excise ,

While posting the same in J1EX_P getting below Information message

"No Part1 Exists for availing credit in excise invoice BE#889699 2007"

Can some one suggest me what's this message and what needs to be done to avoid this?

Hi Shan,

As per my knowledge in general, we need to create Part1 entry and then only we can create Part2 entry.

Normally, at the time of MIGO, the Part1 entry will get generated automatically, based on config.setting. By using the Part1 number/Internal number, you can create the Part2.

So, pl create the Part1 for the particular Invoice and then try to avail the credit.

Hi,

As I said already, the Part1 no will be generated based on the setting in IMG.

Go to LogGen -> Tax on Goods movements -> India -> Basic Setting -> Excise Group setting

In EG setting, u will find MIGO related setting. Here you make the Party Entry and save the settings. Also please ensure that the Part1 serial no has already been maintained.

Now you try to taking GR through MIGO, after saving the document the system will give the Part1 no and Internal No
