Role of CE 7.1 server in consumption of Enterprise services(ES)

Hi folks

I want to consume ES using the NWDS CE.

So i have followed link below:-

My understanding is that this is standalone way of consuming ES.

Now my query is: what role does CE 7.1 server play in Consuming ES?

Well in CE you can consume ES in many ways.

Process Layer. You can consume ES as part of a role based Guided procedure.

View Layer. You can build WebDynpros and Visual Composer iViews to consume ES.

Service & Business Object Layer. You can use Service Composition to consume an extend ES with your own Business Logic.
