Take into consideration the users have the possibility of using the material status to monitor the “life” of a material.

can anybody answer whether material determination could check the material status or the launch date and end dates( if maintained in Material master), via user exit??

or if it is required to do a system modification in the material determination function to add this requirement??

please give a solution to my query

Hi Venkata

Material determination is its swaps the obsolute material with new material.

Here there is no need for userexit.

But still if u want to know the Valid date and end date of the material. U can maintain these in Materail master.

Hi Ramesh,

Can I know the reason you need the end date and launch date. We had a similar requirement to take into consideration the validity date. So we created a customized program to upload the material determination records. The program was enabled to delete the records based on the validity in th excel file.
