Emails are not coming to SAP server from exchange 2007

Hi All,

We have done the SMTP configuration (by following the snote 455140)in CRM 4.0 for sending and receving emails from exchange server 2007.As a result we are able to send an email from SAP to exchange server.but we are unable to receive emails from exchange and it gives the error message as domain unreachable.

Intially we have configured the port number 25000 for receiving the emails from exchange(

icm/server_port_2 = PROT=SMTP,PORT=25000,TIMEOUT=180).

After that we have changed it to 25 as per sugestion from exchange server team. currenlty it is using the port no 25 for both receving and sending emails.

(icm/server_port_2 = PROT=SMTP,PORT=25,TIMEOUT=180;)

I would like to know

1. Can we use the same port for receving and sending emails?

2.what are all the settings has to be done on exchange server to send an email?

Backgound:

Comp Patch level

CRM 4.0 10

SAP_BASIS 59

SAP_ABA 59

Appreciate your response

Thanks,

Vadi

Hi Vadi,

Please follow the documents avilable in the bellow links. In your case problem could be any where, ask your exchange team to check logs at their end please do same at your end. In SBWP, check the status of send mail and any error messages?
