hi

can the material determination can check the status of the material ( if the material launch date and end date maintained in the material master)

if not can we do the same by using the USER EXITS??

Is there any user exits provided by SAP in material determination

OR we need to go for the system modification

help me out by giving some solution.

Ramesh,

Material determination will be done for the materials which were obsolete in status. SYstem uses the field X-Distribution status of MARA table to determine the status.. This is standard..

IF you want to do any more checks before applying the determination rule, you can achieve this by coding a custom Requirement routine and assign this in the requirements field of the condition type Material determination procedure.

Material Determination generally swaps the existing material with a new one based on the company marketing strategy. You can maintain the material life in Sales Org 1 screen of the master date, through valid dates... You can also use the plant data 1 screen to maintain the shelf life.

Usually people maintain the x chain distribution list in Sales org 1 screen to maintain the warning genrated when an material reaches end of life.

Material determination is its swaps the obsolute material with new material.

Here there is no need for userexit.

But still if u want to know the Valid date and end date of the material. U can maintain these in Materail master.
