Hi All, We are going for upgrade from 3.5 to BI 7.0, due to time consuming Java stack install, our Basis has proposed to install the Java later after a week from upgrade. The ABAP stack will be installed with the upgrade, but the java will be done later. We don't plan to use the BEx 7.0 applications but rather stay on BEx 3.x for some time. Will deferring Java installation create any problem in running reports in BEx 3.x environment?
Any ideas. Thanks
PK
Nope, you are just fine. We have stayed more than 6 months after installing only ABAP stack without java stack and everything in 3.x was working fine.
So, please let the basis go without java stack.
thanks.
