I have a generic extractor for Material Classification.
in RSA3 when i check the data in the extractor, the values for the feilds with data type decimal are truncated.
Eg : 547.00 in r/3 appears as *7.00 in the Extractor in RSA3 and so i get error while loading data into BW.
Please need help to fix this urgently.
i had to regenerate the datasource as there was a field length change which did not take effect till the generation of the datasource.

It could be a display problem (ie the value is 547.00 but due to small column width it is displayed as *7.00), but in this case the load should be alright.
It could also be that the field size for this field is not large enough the completely get this value (it should have given a dump instead of truncating it).
Where do you see this value? In RSA3? Try extending the column width on display there.
Is it is packed decimal field in R/3?
