Characteristic value not filled

Hi,

I am trying to create CVCs. The CVCs got created but when I check in the log it says "Characteristic value for characteristic ZSUB not filled".

ZSUB is one of the characteristic in the mater planning object structure.

Please let me know what should I do to avoid this error.

Do you have the value of the characteristic defined in the BW table for that characteristic? Check in RSDMD and put in ZSUB to check if the value is defined.

Alternatively switch off the BW check while creating CVC.

I would like to keep BW check while creating CVC.

I checked in RSDMD for characteristics ZSUB. There are 1,495 data records which can be edited. What could be the reason for the error ""Characteristic value for characteristic ZSUB not filled".

It looks a blank/empty entry "" is not part of that list. can you confirm?

No there are data in it like numbers etc. Is that the question ? Maybe I am not understanding what you are asking.

From the message it looks "" needs to be one of the characteristic value.Try to add a blank value with some description in the list and see if you can add the CVC.

If you are saying "Try to add a blank value..." I am not sure where to add the value.
