Hi All,
Material type needs to be changed from HALB to HAWA. But there are open Production orders & also for some of the orders are partially confirmed.
Please let me if it is possible to change the Material Type, if the current open production orders are closed.

You can change it.
Close the production order.settle it. If there is any planned order for that material, delete it. check for the nil stock.

So were you able to change the materail type with PP orders in TECO or CLSD status still avaliable in system? Your answer will help others.

Ya it is done sucessfully.Prod. order was TECO"d and closed and planned was deleted. Stock was cleared.

Yes, it is possible to change the material type from HALB to HAWA .
As per your statement,have to close all the open & partially confirmed production orders has to settle.
Nil Stock has to maintained and UOM also check it.

Goto process order > functions > restrict processing > techincally complete
to settle the order.

Open the production order CO02 and do TECO . After that settle the order as a regular procedure.
