Help..2lis_03_bf - Missing application component on ODS

Hi BW experts,

When we do our 1st delta upload (RSA3) the data shows line items with application component and with a record of 500,00 (estimate only). After 8 hours we re-run the RSA3 again for the same parameter it increase to 800,000 records (estimate only) we are trying to figure out what causes the said increase. When we checked the ODS table we notice that the application component is missing for the 300,000 records. Do you have any idea how this happen? And how to correct this one?

Hi Rally,

Please go to Source System SAP R/3 and Tcode SM37 and put RMBWV03 , this is V3 Cllective Run job which runs and fetches data from your Update Queue (LBWQ) and updates it to your Delta Queue (RSA7).

Check the frequency of this job in SM37, by running it for a week and see what time it runs and its frequency. In job log you can also see how many LUWS and records were processed. Usually 1 LUW contains 1000 Records (settings can be different in your source system)

This could be one of the reasons.

Also you can check in RSA7, select your datasource and select display and see how many records and collected in RSA7 for Current Delta (which is going to go to BW), this will give you an idea about your missing records.

Hi Chitrarth,

Thank you very much for the informative and helpful response. I forgot to mentioned one detail about the missing application component, those records are actually duplicate of another records wherein the application component is missing and quantity is set to zero. When validating said records in MSEG and MKPF tables only one record exist with quanity. While in OSD it appears two records, the first record is the same as the one in MSEG & MKPF and the second record has the same document number, material number, year but the quantity is set to zero, the counter is blank, and application component is missing. WHat have cause this and prevent it from happening again? And what should we do about those records?

Hello Rally,

In R3 there are LIS jobs that fillup these 2lis datasources. If you search in R3 in SM37 LIS03*, you will find jobs that would have been scheduled every 30mins or so. this job fills up this datasource(delta queue for this datasource). When you again run delta load in BW, those 300,000 will come through.
