Query displaying incorrect result

Hi,

We are encountering a problem in our HR query. I am explaining the problem below.

We have created few local formulas which are based on a restricted keyfigures. This is a hierarchical report created on a multiprovider. The report is displaying wrong value in result and overall result. If the lower most node is expanded the sum of each value is different than the Result row. Also sum of all the results are different from Overall result. Sometimes the Overall result is blank even if there are values in that column.

As per suggestion of SAP we have applied the following Notes but there is no luck.

1088342 Sum of the rounded values is not applied

1012974 wrong data in non-cumulative query with RKFs a

1003854 Incorrect data when you execute non-cumul quer

995364 Analysis/Required infos for wrong values in BW

Any feedback on this is highly appreciated.

It seems that results are not calculated as summation. Review the result calculation used in your restricted KF and in your formula. If KF is non cumulative it can be a reason.

At the hierarachy node level, the summation of lower sub-nodes is obtained as result, only for KFs.

But in case of the Formula, at the hierarchy node level, the formula gets applied to derive the value at node level. This does not make any difference when formula involves summation/subtraction of 2 KFs. But it matters when the formula involves addition/subtraction of 2 KFs.

Thus you must be getting conflicting result & overall result.

e.g.

HN# = (Hierarchy Node #)

Hierarchy -

KF1 KF2 KF1+KF2 KF1*KF2

HN1 -

5 8 13 40 (i.e.8*5)

-

HN2 -

3 3 6 9

-

HN3 -

2 5 7 10

Please assign points if it's useful.

Thanks & Regards,
