BOM with different plant code in one order

Hello,

Does anybody here know if SAP allows a sales order be processed with a BOM sub-item materials coming from different plants? Let us disregard the issue with shipment and deliveries.

E.g.

I have a material X from plant A and another material Y in plant B.

I will create a BOM of material X with a sub-item of material Y. They have different plants. How will I do this?

Hi Jimmy,

Its not possible in standard SAP because if you are creating a BOM in sales order BOM will explode if the main material and sum item exist in same plant and sales area.

Hi Jimmy,

This can not be done in Standard Sap.because if you are creating the BOM and with that if you creating the sales Order, the material Main Item and Sub items must be avaiable in same plant and respecitive Sales Org and Distribution channel.otherwise while creation of the Sales order BOM will not Explode.

But try with, extending materials to both the Plants,then create BOM and then Create Sales Order and See.But its Trail and Error Bases Only.
