Web AS 6.40 SR1 : DB instance install error

Hi..i get this message when on step 28 of 41 installing AS 6.40.

DbSl Trace: DbSlConnect to 'ISS' as 'sapiss' failed

(DB) ERROR: db_connect rc = 256

DbSl Trace: Already connected with con_hdl=0

**************************

this step is the R3 load instance....it loads everything but then errors out..

any ideas ?

Hi Jeffrey,

Can you please check whether DB is running. Can you try to connect the database with the SQL Query Analyzer with that user sapiss?(if it is SQL Server).

Its running DB6.

i gave the user"sapiss" localadmin rights.

it has also other rights,like replace processlevel token,et...

the onething that botherss me is that the DBinstall

works,as i see the tables beingpopulated////

it just hangs on the R3 load..

Sorry I don't know anything in DB6. this is just helping . Can you check the sapiss user is there in DB6 with the access to the proper database?
