reduce size excel file

Hi,

I have a query that I execute in the analyzer. It doesn't contain so many data...

When I save it as an excel, i still have a file of 2 MB...

I want to mail this file as an attachment, but this results in an explosion of megabytes in the mailbox...

The receiver just have to see the data, he doesn't have to connect to the BW server...

Is there any way to reduce the size of that excel-file?

Ciao

Joke

One reason could be Colors.Just remove all colors and see the size. or save it as CSV file and send it across.

The colors doesn't make a difference (I win 10 kb...)

Hi,format will be okay if save it in CSV(MS-DOS) format.

CSV loses the layout...

In Excel 2007 you can save it in xlsm-format -> what I need (macro's are disabled)

but in excel 2003 we don't have such a format...

Hi

I don't know why copy and paste is not working. If you want to copy the only the data portion it won't work.

But if you select the whole sheet , you can copy and paste to the new excel file.

Hi,

the copy paste works, but not for us... we don't want to lose the layout...

But we found a solution in the meanwhile...
