uploading hierachy from flat file

hello,

i have found a number of posts about downloading and uploading hierarchies in bw.

i am working in bi 7.0 and have successfully downloaded my hierarchy using the program z_sap_hierarchy_download, which is mentioned in several threads.

the program created a nicely looking ascii file which i am now trying to upload in our QA system, also bi 7.0 of course.

now. i start the infopackage to upload the file. and i get a list of error messages telling me that the from-values are greater than the to-values of the interval nodes.

well, the ascii file was created automatically. and so was the transfer structure.

any ideas? the transfer structure doesnt contain anything but the base infoObject of the hierarchy, since i changed the upload method to idoc.

10 minutes later...

ok i kind of figured out why the upload fails. when i look at the preview in the infoPackage, the data isnt correct at some point. the ascii file seems to have too much data at a certain point so that everything after that point is screwed up.

now i just have to manage to make the abap program produce the right file...
