Hi,
We have following SAP background jobs scheduled in our Development, Quality & production systems. I try to find out detail description of these jobs from help.sap.com & SAP service marketplace, but I get nothing. I want to know what the use of these jobs is? & why they are necessary in the system? Can anybody please provide me some details of the following jobs?

those jobs are important. Search for daily jobs, quad.. jobs... etc.. you will find bounch in service market place as well as help.sap.com

that is very simple you can check the description from SM37 .
And these all report used in system performance.

Note down the name of the program from step of the BG job. then go to SA38 and enter the name of program and press F4 and then F8 i the next window . You will get description of the program

Purpose of these standard jobs is to do some housekeeping operation in SAP system like clean up, reorganiztion etc.
For eg :
SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_PERFMONITOR RSCOLL00 used to collect the performance related data and distribute it to transaction like ST03N , ST04
DBA:CHECKDB_________@223000/4007 RSDBAJOB Checking consistency of DB
2 DBA:UPDATESTATS_____@220000/4007 RSDBAJOB Update statistics optimizer

there is a job wizard in sm36 for these standard jobs and there should be enough information or guidelines/links to SAP help where you can find more information.

Better option is that, see one by one job with its programe. And what that programe do in system. Then you can understand better.

You can check the description from SM37 also, you may also want to check the SAP Installation guide from which it will require you to configure these standard jobs in the post processing section.
