what is compoent and activity backflushing

Backflushing is nothing but the deduction from inventory of components and activities that have been completed based on the production count of the assemblies produced.

In backflushing the sysytem automatically posts the goods issue of the components & the activities.

In REM backflush the material costs & production activities are collected at the product cost collector which is settled periodically.

Dear Umesh,

There are 3 different types of backflushing in REM.

1.Assembly backflushing - Both GI,GR and the activities are booked,

2.Component backflushing - Only 261- GI (Extra consumption of materials are

backflushed).

3.Activity backflushing - Only the extra time required to finish the operation is

booked.
