Transport error RSAR 436: Reference to transfer structure & not available

Hi,

I collected business content Datasources from RSA6 and transported from R/3 Dev to R/3 Quality. These datasources have been replicated in BW Dev as 3.x Datasource(the square symbol is present).

The Transfer rules and update rules are active in BW system.

I replicated the DS from R/3 Quality to BW quality. They are present in datasource tree and are in revised state; active version not available. This is the first time transport.

I collected the cube with data flow before in a request and it contains all the required objects.(cube,UR,TR)

After importing in BW Q, it failed with rc-8 with the error,

RSAR 436: Reference to transfer structure ......... & not available.

'There is no DataSource with these attributes'.

I checked the UR and they are active in the BW Q system.

This error is mentioned in ,

Note 910393 - RSAR 436: Reference to transfer structure & not available

I checked my RSLOGSYSMAP table in BW Q and they are correct.

I think the note Note 925228 - DataSources (RSDS) are not activated during replication is not relevant, since that is for RSDS datasources.

please suggest to resolve this.

Raj.

Replicate the data sources in the target system before you transport and check the source system assignment.

Ravi,

Thank you for the reply.

As mentioned, i replicated the DS in target system R/3 again and then transported again the BW objects.

Source system assignment, .....

In the context menu of the source system, check is active.

Please suggest.

Raj.

Hi,

From note 925228 - DataSources (RSDS) are not activated during replication

Symptom

DataSources (R3TR RSDS) are not activated automatically during their

replication if they are not active already.

<i>This seems to differ from the behavior during the replication of 3.x

DataSources (R3TR ISFS).</i>

Does this mean that 3.x DS should be activated automatically during replication if they are not active already?

From thread,

Nagesh mentioned that ,

<b>If your are worrying about SAVE and ACTIVATE option is disabled then That is not problem. 3.X Datasources can't be maintained from BW. If you want to maintain the 3.X Datasources, you need migrate those to BI 7.0 Datasources.

If you want to check whether 3.X Datasource is active or not, you can check in RSOLTPSOURCE in BW. </b>

Should the 3.x datasource be not active after it is replicated.

I checked RSOLTPSOURCE and the DS is active.

The problem is that the transport is failing with the following error:

Reference to transfer structure .... not available. No activation possible.

Message no. RSAR436

Diagnosis

Transfer structure ........ should be transported into this system.

However, no DataSource mapping refers to this transfer structure.

System Response

The transfer structure was not activated or deleted.

Procedure

Ensure that DataSource mapping, with a reference to the transfer

structure ................. is on the same transport request. Use the transport connection to create a consistent request.

I have used the transport connection to create the request and in the list of the objects in the transport, all the Transfer structures are present. But still the transport failed.

transport error:

There is no DataSource with these attributes

Message no. RSAOLTP024

Please suggest.

Raj.
