Records (Document Management System) : Unique ID relation to document class

Hi,

I am working on a program to retrieve the details related to the unique id of the records management system. My program has the input parametere as unique id only.

Using the unique id I need to determine or find out the document class and document id of the record.

Could anyone please let me know how to do the same.

Hi all,

I am using the function module "SDOK_FIND_BY_QUERY" . But I am not sure, if this will be useful for all types of documents (records).

Could anyone please let me know, any better ways to find the relation between unique id number -> document class and object id.
