	Test Connection with Connector

Test Details:
The test consists of the following steps:
1. Retrieve the default alias of the system
2. Check the connection to the backend application using the connector defined in this system object

Results
Retrieval of default alias successful
Connection failed. Make sure user mapping is set correctly and all connection properties are correct.

The ITS service is working right.

What could be wrong?

Perhaps it is connected with the user maintenance. In the UME I get the error:

A check if users can be created failed. The UME configuration might be inconsistent. Check your Security Policy settings (Especial "Maximum Length of Logon ID") and your Persistence Configuration.

Thank you and regards,

Tommaso

Hi Tommaso,

Hi,

The error is because of the user Mapping.

U haven't set any user mapping for this system.

Go to System Properties. Choose User Management.

Give uidpw as logon method and choose 'admin, user' as user mapping type.

Now go to User Administration, go to User mapping.

Search for the user. Click edit on the right.

Choose the system alias u have created for r3 system. Give user name and password. Save.

Now try testing the system.

In case of NW04s, this mapping can be done with Identity Management.

Please maintain your gatewat host and gateway service. ( sapgw<clntno> , e.g. sapgw00 )

also are u using Logon tickets or user mapping ? check in user management drop down property

Hello Harini

I made what you suggested, but it doesn't work.

By the User Management Engine Configuration, User Mapping, I set the System Alias (actually the only possible choice)

And a Strong encryption is already activated.

In the System Configuration the Logon Method is UIDPW and the User Mapping Type is User, Admin.
