login.ticket_lifetime when using external authentication

Hi,

My EP7 2004S SP12 portal uses 3rd party-authentication. The expiration of the cookie created by that tool is 12 hours. I have 2 questions.

1). Does this mean that my EP login.ticket_lifetime should also be 12 hours? Or should it be set to something a little less (11:59)? Suggestions?

2). Are there any other portal parameters which need to be in sync with this 12-hour lifetime (Session lifetime etc)?

Yes. In your setup it will be better if you keep the same value for login ticket lifetime. Otherwise the portal session will expire early and the user will be taken to portal home page.

No other portal parameter needs to be set to the same value.

Pls make sure that both the times are the same. Also note tha the server times should also be same.
