Diagnosis

Transaction type 230 belongs to a transaction type group, which can only be used to post to assets to which posting has already been performed. However, no postings have been made to this asset.

Procedure

Use a transaction type from a transaction type group, which can be used for the first acquisition to an asset.

Hi Nikil,

When you are posting the acquistion entry using F-90 always use T Type 100. Check T Code AO73, you can find the various Standard T Types, which are self explanatory.

I think the answer is in the question: you have to use such transaction type which is valid for first aquisitions. One example is 100.
