I have one small doubt, i.e Why LO COCKPIT doesn't support FI data sources.

Hi praveen,

FI DATA SOURCES ARE GENERIC SO THEY DO NOT SUPPORT LO EXTRACTION.

Hi Praveen,

The way SAP has grouped applications in the traditional R/3 is "Logistics", "Accounting" , "Human Resources" etc.

In traditional R/3, "Logistics" has "Info Structures"based reporting system. SAP has exptended the concept to develop the "Logistics Cockpit", which has set up tables etc.

For "Accounting", SAP has adopted the traditional "Direct Tables" approach while extracting the data into BW.

Hi,

The FI data sources extract data directly from the tables that the data is stored to at the time of transaction processing...no setup required. You can read about more details on this in sap help, or in some other detailed posts on this topic.
