BSP Customization

Hello SDNers,

We have upgraded 4.6c to ECC 6.0, implementing Portal 7.0 ESS/MSS.

We have deployed the Bussiness package 1.0 (mySAP ERP 2005) for ESS/MSS. There were lots of changes in this business package.

Since, we were trying to use training and event management in Portal, the documentation tells to use LSo for the TEM.

LSo is an BSP based application HCM_LEARNING, we need to customize this application as per our bussiness needs.

Can anybody guide, how to go ahead with the BSP customization. Any help in this regarrds would be highly appreciated.

If you want to create your own individual course offering in addition to the Top 10 List, you must implement the Business Add-In TRAININGTYPE_ADV_C. To do so, you must define your customer-specific course offering in Customizing.Choose Training and Event Management ® SAP Learning Solution ® Learning Portal ® Formatting Options ® BAdI: Define Customer-Specific Course Offering.

To create a course catalog, you must perform the following IMG activities in Customizing for Training Management:

· SAP Learning Solution ® Training Management ® Course Preparation ® Create Course Group

· SAP Learning Solution ® Training Management ® Course Preparation ® Create Course Type

· SAP Learning Solution ® Training Management ® Course Preparation ® Create Curriculum Type

· SAP Learning Solution ® Training Management ® Course Preparation ® Maintain Master Data via Catalog

there is a learner role and an instructor role in portal.

there is a badi that will help you hide the course list

There is also a badi that will enable the company specific course offerings to learner.

Do you have any help documentation for the same listing out all the badi's information required for BSP application customization.

you need to have abap skills and bsp (html) knowledge to do this.

create a copy of standard application hcm_learning. if you are using ls0600 then what is the kind of customization is that you are looking at please.

Hi Barin,

Thank you for your response. Basically, we need to hide/remove some links (like - Top 10 list, remove the settings options etc.,)

Also, we need to bring the course catalog offered by the company into the frontend application, allow employees to only pre-book a course, set the start date as bussiness event date.

Can anybody tell, what are the roles available in Portal related to LSo (I mean, the pages, worksets, roles).
