Transaction iViews connect to wrong ITS path

Good morning everyone,

using an Transaction iView we want to connect to the ECC 6.0 Backend System.

In SICF of the backend we created a new service deriving from the existing one. The path is /default_host/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui/webgui_new.

We created a new one because we added a new parameter to disable the OKCode field in the Header (~NOHEADEROKCODE=1).

In the Portal we created a system object connecting to the backend and pointed to the path /sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui/webgui_new on the right host.

When creating and testing a transaction iView the Portal always connects to the "root" ITS service, which is /sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui. Though the system object settings point there it never connects to /sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui/webgui_new. Pointing there manually by entering the URL works.

Does someone know this problem? I can provide more information if necessary.

Thanks very much in advance,

Alex

Yes there you are!

You simply go to SICF transaction and under ITS create a new Internet Service for the transaction which you want to use.

Then simply go to SAP IAC iview and provide the INTERNET SERvice name over there.

Yes you are right, in the ITS Path we only give the details upto ITS, the rest is now ur service name.

All iviews may be transaction or IAC use the ITS path. After that path it goes to the concerned web service which you have created.

Simply try creating an INternet Service under ITS node (say for e.g transaction SE11) provide details like ~webtransactiontype=EWT and ~generatedynpro=1. Provide the ITS handler and save it.

Similarly you can use any transaction (or service) now in your portal.

Hope this helps!
